Ambra Gutierrez calls for new investigation into Weinstein case

After accusing Weinstein of harassment, @Ambrabgutierrez participated in a 2015 undercover operation during which the former Hollywood producer admitted to the misconduct on an audio recording. Despite this, as reported in the 11 pages request submitted to the U.S. Attorney for NYC, due to pressure from influential individuals who hindered the progress of the investigation, the NYPD ultimately chose not to prosecute Weinstein.
In 2018, the then-Governor of New York appointed the State Attorney General to investigate the 2015 decision not to prosecute. However, despite the clear progress made by investigators during the new inquiry, Governor Andrew Cuomo suddenly decided to suspend the investigation.
This request of A. Gutierrez for a new investigation is also made possible thanks to the efforts of Michael Osgood, former DeputyChief of the NYPD’s Special Victims Division from 2010 to 2018. M. Osgood, who was removed from his position after opposing the cover-up, continued to investigate the case with limited resources but unwavering determination, gathering significant evidence.
Today, a full, impartial, and transparent investigation is being requested, one that will establish all responsibilities in the case and lead to the achievement of genuine justice, free from any interference or abuse of power.
